We invite all of our friends to join us
in anticipation of fun times to come each and every summer! So, bring
your favorite beverages and snacks, and join us for a fantastic day of
fun and relaxation! Feel free
to bring a dish to pass around as well. The more, the merrier!
To get things rolling, we will be having a chicken, rib, and hot wing
contest for all of our guests.
There will be one contest for each category (chicken, spare ribs, hot
wings).
Each contestant will bring their own spices, barbeque sauce, or
whatever, for each contest.
The chicken, spare ribs, hot wings, and charcoal/fluid will be provided
by Mike and Jon.
Each contest will be allowed up to 6 contestants who will each cook on a
different grill. Contestants may
participate in as many categories as they wish.
Three grills will be provided by Mike and Jon. However, each contestant
is allowed to bring his or her own grill if they wish.
Contest Times
SPARE RIBS - 1st Round: Cooking time from 10am to 12pm
CHICKEN LEGS - 1st Round: Cooking time from 12:15pm to 1:15pm
CHICKEN LEGS - 2nd Round: Cooking time from 1:30pm to 2:30pm
SPARE RIBS - 2nd Round: Cooking time from 2:45pm to 4:45pm
HOT WINGS - 1st Round: Cooking time from 5:00pm to 6:00pm
HOT WINGS - 2nd Round: Cooking time from 6:15pm to 7:15pm
The judging for each round of competition will take place immediately
after each contests end time. The scoring will be
done by volunteers from those attending the cookout. We will need 3
judges for each round of cooking.
All of the scoring will be kept secret and announced at 7:30pm for each
category. There will be one award
given for 1st place for each category.
And don't forget, each winner will have bragging rights for the rest of
the year!!!
The judging will be based on; taste, tenderness, and overall appearance
of the food presented. |
